A conference paper titled “Exploring the Influencing Factors of Active Commuting Choices for Work-Related Trips: The Case of Athens” was recently presented by NTUA at the IRF World Congress 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey. This paper examines factors influencing Athenians' choices toward active commuting, particularly with bicycles and e-scooters, for work-related travel. The study suggests that policymakers focus on building comprehensive cycling networks and fostering positive perceptions of cycling to support the “Bike to Work” scheme, aiming for a sustainable and inclusive urban transport system.
